Description

Four stages.A seat that adjusts.

The Safety 1st EverSlim car seat adapts as your child grows through four configurations: rear-facing, forward-facing with a harness, high-back booster and backless booster. Its approximately 17.2-inch-wide profile helps make room on the back seat, while an adjustable headrest and no-rethread harness make fit adjustments easier. Choose Hexagon Horizon or Black Beauty using the colour selector. Moving to each mode depends on your child’s weight, height and fit, not age alone.

Key features

  • 4 modes: rear-facing through backless booster
  • 10 positions: to adjust the headrest
  • SecureTech: a buckled indicator on the chest clip

Adjust the seat as your child grows

The headrest has ten height settings, and the harness adjusts without rethreading. Once your child meets the requirements for the next stage, the seat converts as directed in the manual, through to a backless booster. Black Beauty is shown here. Infant cushions must be removed in booster mode and the harness stored as instructed.

A visual check at the chest clip

The SecureTech indicator changes from red to green when the chest clip is buckled. It makes this everyday check easier; it does not confirm harness tightness or correct installation in the vehicle. Check those separately at every use, following both the car seat and vehicle manuals.

Frequently asked questions

When can my child move from rear-facing to forward-facing?

The Canadian manual requires your child to remain rear-facing until they outgrow a limit or fit requirement for that mode. Children under one year must remain rear-facing. Reaching 22 lb alone is therefore not enough to change modes. Height and harness fit requirements also apply.

Do both booster modes have the same limits?

Both are rated for 40–100 lb (18–45 kg), but the maximum height is 52 inches (132 cm) with the backrest and 57 inches (145 cm) without it. The minimum height is 43 inches (110 cm). Your child must also meet the belt-fit requirements in the manual.

Can three EverSlim seats fit across a back seat?

The slim profile can make a three-across arrangement easier, but does not guarantee it in every vehicle. Seat width, buckles, anchors and the other car seats all affect fit. Check each installation in your vehicle; adjacent seats must not interfere with secure installation.

How do I clean the fabrics and harness?

The manual specifies washing the cover and fabric accessories separately in cold water on a gentle cycle, without bleach. Tumble dry separately on low heat for 10–12 minutes, then remove immediately. Spot clean the harness with warm soapy water and a damp cloth; fabric washing instructions do not apply to the harness. Follow the label and manual supplied with your seat.

What is included with EverSlim?

The convertible seat with harness, infant cushions and two removable cup holders, one with a snack lid. The cup holders are dishwasher safe according to their care instructions. No stroller adapter is included; EverSlim is a convertible car seat.

Can it be used on an aircraft?

The Canadian manual permits aircraft use only with the internal harness, rear-facing or forward-facing. Booster modes are not approved for aircraft use. Also check your airline’s policies and available seat space.

How long can the seat be used?

The manual specifies ten years from the manufacture date marked on the seat, not the purchase date. This does not replace each mode’s use limits or other replacement requirements in the manual.

Does a green indicator mean the seat is installed correctly?

No. The SecureTech indicator only shows that the chest clip is buckled. Harness tightness, chest clip position and car seat installation must be checked separately using the Canadian manual.
