Description
Choose the motion, keep baby close.
The Maxi-Cosi Cassia swing brings variety to your baby’s awake time while keeping them close. Its seat rotates 360° to change the viewing direction, and five swing speeds let you choose the movement. When selected, Smart Swing mode detects your baby’s movement to activate the swing.

- 5 speeds: adjustable swinging
- 360°: seat rotation
- 12 choices: melodies and sounds
Easy controls for the swing settings.
The touch panel brings together speed, volume, melodies, timer and motion-detection mode. Choose an 8-, 15- or 30-minute timer. The system detects movement; it is not a cry detector. Hold the base steady when rotating the seat, as shown in the manual.
An adjustable seat with removable fabrics.
Two reclines let you adjust the seat. The newborn inlay, five-point harness and mobile with two toys are included. The mobile is for looking at: remove it when your baby can grasp the toys. The removable cover helps with cleanup; follow fabric care labels and keep the electrical base dry.

Frequently asked questions
Does Cassia detect crying?
Smart Swing is movement activated. The verified documents do not describe sound-based cry detection.
Do I need to buy batteries?
Not if you use the included power adapter. For battery use, you need four AA/LR6 1.5 V batteries, which are not included.
Can my baby sleep in it?
No. It is for supervised awake time. Move a sleeping baby to an appropriate sleep space.
When should I stop using it?
At the latest at 9 kg (20 lb), or sooner if your baby attempts to climb out. An approximate age does not replace these criteria.
Is the mobile included?
Yes, with two toys. It is for visual stimulation and must be removed when your baby can grasp the toys.
What do the timers do?
They set an 8-, 15- or 30-minute duration. Stay near your baby during use even when a timer is active.
