Description
A forehead reading, without touching the skin.
The Safety 1st Simple Scan thermometer takes a forehead reading without touching the skin. The manufacturer specifies a reading in approximately one second, around one inch from the centre of the forehead, under the conditions in the manual. Silent night mode and a backlit screen make it easier to check in a dark room. Canadian model TH1060320 stores up to ten readings and includes two AAA batteries.

Check a reading at night
Silent mode turns off the audible signal for nighttime checks. The illuminated screen is easier to read, and the memory stores up to ten readings for later reference. Fever Light provides a visual alert; use the manual to interpret the display and its symbols.
Choose the appropriate mode
Simple Scan has a forehead mode and a mode for food or bath-water temperature. Select the appropriate mode before measuring and follow the distance specified in the manual. Liquid mode works without submerging the thermometer in water.
